Welcome to our 2018 Annual Eight Rivers Quilting Party in Marlinton WV, in beautiful Pocahontas County where eight rivers originate and flow out of the county, thus known as “Birthplace of

Formerly known as the Pearl S Buck Quilting Party held in Hillsboro, WV. The Eight Rivers Quilting Party was organized in August 2015. The Eight Rivers group will meet at the McClintic Library in Marlinton. The goal of our group is to learn new quilting techniques and patterns, share our common interest in Primitive art form and enjoy both the friendships and atmosphere of our beautiful Pocahontas County area.

Our program consists of three one-day workshops with experienced teachers for both learning and quilting experiences. Registration is open for one or more classes by returning the attached
registration form with your check by July 15, 2018. Our classes are limited in size due to necessary workspace, teacher-student ratio and on advanced beginner or intermediate accomplished levels.

We are listing class fees, patterns and kits if desired on our registration form. Please include these fees with your registration. You may use fabric from your own “stash” if desired. All classes require you bring your own sewing machine in good working order. Bring your manual along in the event of problems. Registration for classes must be received by July 15, 2018. Refunds will be made until July 20 if you must cancel. A waiting list will be compiled if needed on a first come first serve basis. We suggest you register early as these classes fill up quickly. Bring your own brown bag lunch or visit nearby restaurant or store. Refreshments will be available for breaks. Coffee, tea and bottled water will be provided.
